Postal History Foundation

The turn of the century post office with authentic fittings illustrates the postal service on the frontier. The Foundation as a hub of postal education, maintains the largest and finest facilities dedicated to postal history in western United States. The philatelic museum also operates the Peggy J. Slusser library housing a collection of more than 25,000 books, journals, US Post Office and United States Postal Service publications. These provide researchers with a worldwide range of philatelic literature. The collection is a rich source of Civil War literature, memorabilia and ephemera. The library is recognized as one of the top in the United States having the best architecture design for users. Special exhibits are organized periodically that interpret postal history for visitors.
