Forty-acre Lake Bennett inside Wolly Hollow State Park in the foothills of Ozark mountain is a popular recreation lake for swimming, boating, camping and picnicking. This serene getaway by the blue waters of the lake draws water lovers for its quiet beauty and scenic location.

Fishing and swimming at the allocated swimming beach area has canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, fishing boats and motor boats readily available for renting. Anglers need to bring bait and fishing supplies. You have amenities like a snack bar, bathhouse and hot showers located near the swim beach.

Park facilities include 30 campsites, a picnic area, standard pavilion, gift shop and hiking trail. A launch ramp is located on Lake Bennett. Woolly Cabin, the log home of the area's first settlers offers a historic perspective here. Here is Arkansas' most picturesque destinations turned into a first-class vacation area. The sandy swimming beach is in a controlled area with lifeguards on duty. A modern bathhouse is adjacent to the beach. The swimming area is open all year round but for designated holidays. A nominal fee rejuvenates you in the refreshing waters from noon to 7 p.m.

Fishing offers a variety of species here. Flatbottom boats are best to enjoy the calm waters that provide an ideal atmosphere for fishing. The beachy spot is a favorite retreat of picnickers, who enjoy under the shaded picnic sites over-looking the swimming beach, plus a conveniently located playground. The sites have tables, charcoal grills and water hydrants.

Campsites are equipped with water, dual-electric hookups, table and grill at each site along with modern bathhouses. Close at hand by the swimming area you have a well stocked snack bar. Campers do need to register themselves before occupying a site.
