Pescadero Beach

The incredibly scenic Pescadero Beach has a mile-long shoreline loaded with sandy coves, rocky cliffs and many tide pools. It is a great place for Northern California fishing and has full picnic facilities.

Dogs are prohibited on the beach and the surrounding Natural Preserve at all times.

As always with Northern California beaches, the weather can be changeable and layered clothing is highly recommended.

There are various hiking trails on the beach and spots for fishing. Across from the beach is Pescadero Marsh Natural Preserve, a very popular spot for bird watching and other natural enthusiasts. Along with birds, the Reserve is a refuge for blue heron, deer, raccoons, foxes and skunks. Because of the exceptional beauty of this beach and the distinct, varied colors of the water, it is also a very popular place for natural photographers.

The petite town of Pescadero is located approximately two miles inland from the beach. One of the famous spots for food is the Arcangeli Grocery and Bakery, located in the center of town since 1929.
