Bear Creek Lake Park Beach

Located west of Denver the 2600 acres Bear Creek Lake Park has three lakes - Big Soda Lake, Little Soda Lake, and Bear Creek Lake. The beach is on the only swimming area located at Big Soda Lake. The park supports a diverse bird and waterfowl population. Enjoy eye catching scenic views and explore recreation opportunities like camping, picnicking, hiking, boating and of course swimming.

Open from Memorial Day through to Labor Day the park is open from 8 in the morning to 8 in the evening. This is an unguarded beach. The area includes picnic sites, restrooms, playground, concession stand, and two sand volleyball courts. No alcohol or pets are allowed.

With both electric and non-electric campsites amenities include pull through campsites and group camping. Yes there is a dump station. The picnic area has group picnic facilities and a shelter. Along with the beach you also have a regular swimming pool.

Its the marina on Big Soda Lake that attracts visitors to have fun on the water. You could rent some paddleboats, canoes, kayaks or a sailboard and enjoy being on water. If you go across to Little Soda Lake the water ski school will have you slicing through the waters. Wind surfers can take their chances if weather conditions permit them to breeze across.

You can access non-motorized boats at the Soda Lakes by telephone. Learn of the weather conditions prior to arrival. It really can be smooth sailing on Big Soda Lake on a boat or a canoe. Paddle boat, canoe, kayak and sailboard rentals are all available right here. Boating on Bear Creek Lake is limited to a motor size of 10hp or less. Big Soda Lake is limited to non-motorized craft. No private boats are permitted on Little Soda Lake.
