Lake Loveland Swim Beach

Lake Loveland Swim Beach is accessible from North Lake Drive, Loveland, Colorado. The area is an excellent place to have your family get together and go swimming too! It offers free guarded summertime lake swimming from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The Winona pool close by is another attraction. Watch out for the weather reports before heading here.

This beautiful lake was created in 1893 out of a swampy depression and is a real gem that visitors return to again and again. Functioning primarily as a source for water supply it has recreational facilities. Public fishing is available from the public shorelines and swimming is available at the swimming beach at North Shore Park. However swimming is an absolute no-no in the absence of guards. Concessions and restroom facilities are located close at hand.

The facilities are open year round from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There is a fee for admission to the Winona Pool but there is no admission fee for use of the swim beach. The South Shore offers fishing and a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains. North Lake Park borders the lake's north side and features the swim beach, fishing, park with train, playgrounds, tennis courts, racquetball courts, basketball courts, picnicking, softball fields, an amphitheater, and general outdoor fun.

Swimming is permitted within areas designated by ropes and buoys only. Individuals swimming or wading outside of designated areas are liable for violation of rules. No alcohol is permitted and children under 6 years of age need to be directly supervised by an adult. Summer hours of operation are daily from 10am to 5 pm. The famous Benson Sculpture Park is located just north of North Lake Park and offers over a hundred sculptures in a beautiful outdoor setting.
