The Yale Center for British Art

The Yale Center for British Art is one of the most popular museums of the country, located in the city of New Haven at Yale University. The museum holds the most comprehensive collection of British Art and chiefly concentrates on work from the Elizabethan period onward. The Yale Center was designed by Louis I. Kahn and was completed, after Kahn`s death, in 1974. Its exterior is of matte steel and reflective glass, while the interior is of travertine marble, white oak, and Belgian linen that make it indeed an attractive and a beautiful building that includes 2,000 paintings and 100 sculptures for its visitors.
