Highlights of the Natural History Museum include a 900-gallon saltwater aquarium, children`s discovery rooms, a rose garden and a dining room offering views of a 65-acre hardwood forest. Even the floors at Fernbank Museum are designed to be educational, being made of 40,000 limestone tiles featuring fossils dating back to Jurassic period. Hosting several permanent exhibitions including the large dinosaur installation, it has an IMAX theater. Fernbank’s NatureQuest is a recent innovative addition.
