City Beach Park

This 18 acre wide beach side park area located on Bridge Street, is the oldest and best known park in Sandpoint. City Beach is a public beach located in the heart of the city offering sandy beaches, volleyball, tennis, basketball, boat ramps and docks. The Park was donated to the City in 1922 by the Northern Pacific Railroad and is a focal point of Sandpoint.

It has been developed over the years and has become the busiest park that is also used for several community special events including a large arts and crafts fair hosted by Pend Oreille Arts Council and the 4th of July Fireworks. City Beach is open 4am to 11pm and amenities include two restrooms, food concession facility, picnic shelter with BBQ’s, two boat launch ramps and playground areas having climbing apparatus, slides and swing sets.
