The Carl & Mary Koehler History Center started off in 1969 as the Linn County Historical Museum Association. By the early 1990`s the Linn County Historical Museum Association became Linn County Historical Society and the History Center a museum on Eighth Avenue at First Street in Cedar Rapids. Recently the Center put up exhibits to remember the days of passenger trains and the Cedar Rapids Union Station. Visit History Center to see the rebuilt fireplace that stood for many years in the Cedar Rapids train depot. The exhibit features an audio presentation along with photos depicting the history of the train station.
