Visitors can enjoy this six-acre historic site from the 1800s. Comprising of a Town Square of vintage buildings and botanical gardens, the six-acre complex has a Prairie Mansion, log cabin, turn-of-the-century town along with over two acres of beautiful gardens. Avail of the tours on offer by volunteers dressed in period costume. The cabin is a replica of the home built by Anthony and Mary Jane Ward in 1854, even before the settlement of Topeka. In the 1870s, the Wards were built along with the Prairie mansion that is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Enjoy an assortment of culinary experiences-from picnic basket lunches to Victorian dinners offered to groups. A special meal in the log cabin is available during winter months.
