Hotels and casinos like the ARIA Las Vegas have both responded to the trend and helped to fuel it by ramping up family entertainment, opening fabulous restaurants and bars, adding a lot more shops and giving visitors more entertainment choices. For example, The ARIA is now the exclusive home of the Cirque du Soleil show Zarkana, an awe-inspiring spectacle of acrobatic skill with very modern styling and off-the-charts creativity.
Nearly half of visitors are in Vegas for a broader experience than just gambling. Most are hitting the casinos, but they are also taking advantage of the many local attractions off the Strip. For example, the area is now a destination for serious golfers who want to enjoy the challenge and beauty of playing courses that integrate the desert into the links.
Red Rock Canyon and the opportunities it affords for hiking, photography and painting is just a short drive from town. Mt. Charleston and the Spring Mountain Recreational Area are the places for camping, biking, birding and more outdoor fun.
Back in town, catching a Las Vegas 51’s baseball game is a treat for the whole family from April into September, while the Las Vegas Zoo is open year round. These are just a few of the dozens of things to enjoy that keep bringing visitors to Las Vegas by the millions!
