Cochiti Lake Beach

Only 50 miles north of Albuquerque and west of I-25 at the Santo Domingo and Peña Blanca exits, this Cochiti, also known as no-wake lake has a paved boat ramp and campground with showers on each side. It has a slip-rental marina with no services. The top water activities at the lake are sailing, wind surfing and swimming.

Cochiti Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Here, water is very less, the wettest month of the year is typically August, while the driest month is May. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.

Just close to the Cochiti Lake, you can find the Bandelier National Monument, which is a very good site to pop by, and is right by the Canada Capulin Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Rio Grande, and enjoy a round of golf at Pueblo de Cochiti Golf Course. You can completely enjoy and go to the San Juan Mountains. There's magnificent hiking along the Capulin Canyon Trail; a nice nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites.
