Worden Pond

Worden Pond is a shallow, wind-swept, 1,000-acre pond near Rhode Island's Great Swamp. Worden Pond's inlet and outlet rivers run throughout the 3,350-acre swamp, providing arguably the best canoeing in the state. The public boat access at Worden Pond's south end provides access to the entire lake, as well as the Chipuxet River and the Charles River. The big boulders strewn about Stony Point are a perfect place to come ashore for a picnic, or to get a good view of the pond and its privately owned island. Rhode Island wildlife species that may be observed here include beaver, muskrat, turtles, waterfowl and marsh birds.

Worden Pond Family Campgrounds are 65 acres of privately owned and operated Rhode Island campground located on Worden Pond. There are 250 large, wooded sites available, with both electric service and water hookups for tent and RV camping, along with 2 restrooms, coin-operated showers, and other amenities.
