Facts

When to visit:

Tennessee’s major tourist traps, i.e. Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Graceland, etc., are packed and pricey during the summer’s peak tourist season. Other Hotspots like Nashville are pretty crowded too. Tennessee’s parks and wilderness area’s are less obnoxious during the height of the peak season, but off-season travel is still a less troublesome option. Winter is the slowest time in much of the state, with the notable exception of those parts of the mountains where skiing and winter-based activities draw snow-lovers in droves.
