When to visit:

Like many places in North America, Virginia’s peak tourist season is in the summer, but several locations have something to offer visitors all year long. Colonial Williamsburg, for example, welcomes visitors most of the year. The Blue Ridge Mountains display magnificent fall foliage. In the winter snow-based sports and activities are popular in the state and New Years 1st nights draw big crowds. Spring off-season camping is a fantastic option as well.
