Beech Fork Lake

Beech Fork Lake is the part of integrated flood reduction system. It is 720 acres lake situated near Lavalette in Wayne County, West Virginia. The lake is known for its endless entertainment opportunities for the visitors who want to want to enjoy the outdoor activities. Being in the southwestern part of state it is within a short drive from many places.

One cannot afford to miss the endless opportunities the lake provides. One can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, boating, camping, fishing hiking, hunting, interpretative programs, picnicking, visitor center and wildlife viewing.

The Stowers Branch Lake's swimming beach which is near the dam is best place for swimmers and sunbathers. But no lifeguards are available here. But it is a beautiful beach to hand around. Paddle boats, canoes, kayaks and row boats can be rented from Beech Fork Marina, Recreation Center and near the Beech Fork Dam.

It is a compulsion not to use boats of more than 10 HP, there are hiking and biking trails in the nearby area and birdwatching sites. The Beech Fork State Park will add more fun to your visit. Play volleyball, basketball, softball, tennis and horseshoes in the park. Picnic shelters and campground are in the park.
