What if, upon receipt of my confirmation, I realize I have chosen the wrong country, processing time, number of entries, type of visa, etc.?

- If you have made a mistake simply contact us and we will make the necessary changes to your order. It is important to let us know as soon as possible. What if I have chosen the wrong country?

What if I do not want to pay by credit card?

- You have the option of sending us a company, personal or bank check as well as a money order as payment. Simply make the selection from the drop down menu under payment information and choose your payment type on the order form.

What if I need to apply for a visa and a passport? Will my orders be process together or do I need to send each separately?

- You may apply at the same time. Simply make a note in the comments section of the order form indicating that you are doing so. Once your passport application is completed it will be sent to the consulate for visa processing.

Can I print the order from and send it to you instead of submitting it online?

- Yes, however if you do not press the "finish" button at the bottom of the page you will not receive a confirmation or be able to track your order. Your application may also be delayed if you do not press the "finish" button, as we will need to manually search for your application among the other incomplete applications on file. We highly recommend that if you chose to print the order form that you also press the "finish" button to complete your order. This will ensure the timely processing of your order.

What if I am only going to be transiting the country? Is a visa still required?

- In some cases a transit visa is available if your stay is less than 12 to 24 hours. It is best to contact us regarding the specific country you are transiting.

Can I print the application and send it to you instead of submitting it online?

- This should not be done. We cannot use the application as printed from your computer. Our technology allows the information entered in the fields of the online application to be transferred to the fields of the actual embassy application when we print it from our database. Sending us a printed online application will delay the processing of your visa. If you would like the actual application please contact us and we will be happy to fax or send you one via US mail.

Is your website secure/safe?

- Yes. The application and order form are encrypted to prevent information from being viewed by anyone other than Passport Visa Express.com.

Is any of the information I submit to you sold or distributed to others?

- No. Information about you provided to us stays with us. We do not distribute or sell your information to anyone for any reason or under any circumstance.

I am not a US citizen. Can you still assist me?

- In most cases yes. Our website provides visa information for US citizens. Unless otherwise indicated in the "Notes" section of the visa check page you will be asked to complete a Non-US citizens Application Form by clicking on the provided link. This application will give us information about you that will allow us to determine if you require a visa to enter the country you have selected. There is no charge for this service and we promise to get back to you within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays).

I am Canadian or Mexican living in my home country. Can I use your service?

- In many cases yes. However, it is always best that you contact us for more information before applying online.

I am a US citizen or permanent resident of the US currently abroad or living abroad. Can you still assist me?

- Yes. The application process is the same. However it is best to contact us regarding return delivery as fees and shipping times vary depending upon your location. In most cases FedEx will deliver within a few days.

Do I need to send you my actual, physical passport?

- Yes. Visas are stamps that are placed on the blank pages within your passport. We cannot obtain a visa for you without your passport. (Russia and Tajikistan are the only exceptions. Please see these specific country requirements for more details).

How do I send you my passport photos and other materials?

- We highly recommend that when sending us your passport and/or valuable documents that you use a traceable delivery method such as FedEx, UPS, Airborne, DHL or United States Express, Registered or Certified mail. Regular U.S. mail is not recommended. Digital or scanned photos, provided they meet the stated requirements, may be emailed to us. Please indicated your user ID and tracking number when doing so.

How should I send you my passport? What is the safest way to send it to you?

- Passport Visa Express.com assists hundreds of travelers every week. We highly recommend that when sending us your passport and/or valuable documents that you use a traceable delivery method such as FedEx, UPS, Airborne, DHL or United States Express, Registered or Certified mail. Regular U.S. mail is not recommended.

Where should I send my documents? Which address should I send my documents to?

- Unless otherwise instructed by a customer service agent please send your documents as indicated at the bottom of your confirmation. The address also appears on the bottom of your email confirmation.

Passport photograph(s): Does the photograph in my passport satisfy the passport photograph requirement?

- No. The consulate needs a separate photograph(s) for your application. These photos are kept on file at the embassy or in some cases made part of the visa itself (Russia/Burma).

Do I need to send all of the information requested on the visa requirements page?

- Yes. Your application will cannot be submitted unless we receive all of the required supporting information.

What if I have not purchased my tickets yet?

- Unless otherwise directed by a customer service agent, copies of original tickets are not necessary. An itinerary from your travel agent or a business letter indicating the dates of travel is all that is required.

How does the tracking process work?

- After you have completed the online order process a confirmation will appear on your screen. The same confirmation will also be sent via email to the address you indicated on your order form. The confirmation will include a user ID and a tracking number unique to your order. Simply enter the user ID and tracking number as directed on our website to obtain an instant status of your application.

When I track my application it says "We have taken your documents to the consulate/passport office". What does this mean?

- Your application is now in progress and has been submitted and accepted by the US Passport Office or the consulate you are applying for your visa from.

Are the US Passport Office and/or foreign consulates open on the weekends? Holidays?

- No. All foreign embassies and consulates are closed on the weekends. The US Passport Office is also closed on weekends. The US Passport Office and most foreign embassies observe national holidays. Foreign embassies will also close for their own national holidays. If you are unsure as to when these closings are ro how they may influence the processing of your order please feel free contact us.

When do you begin processing my application?

- Application processing begins the day we receive your documents provided the documents are received before 10:30 am. Applications received on Saturdays will be sent for processing the following Monday provided the embassy or Passport Office is open.

When is my credit card charged?

- Your credit card will be charged as soon as your documents are received.

What if I want to cancel my order?

- Simply send us an email letting us know you have decided to cancel your order. You will not be charged for canceling your order. We will notify you that your order has been canceled shortly.

Does the processing time include shipping time?

- No. Shipping or return delivery time should be added to the processing time when determining the total amount of time needed to fulfill your order. Shipping times do not include Saturdays or Sundays unless specified. Deliveries may not be available on some holidays. Please feel free to contact us regarding holiday schedules.

I experienced an error after submitting my application/order from. What should I do?

- If you experience any problems or an error message appears on your screen after you press the "continue" or "finish" button, simply click the "back" button on your browser and retry. If you cannot see your browser, simply right click your mouse and select the "back" button and retry. This will allow you to advance most times without a problem. If you continue to experience a problem please contact us to see if we can help you.

Should I save a copy of my confirmation?

- It is a good idea to print or save a copy of your confirmation. Your confirmation contains your user ID and tracking number that allows you to track the status of your application. It indicates what you have ordered, provides you with our shipping address / instructions and reminds you of what you will need to send to us to complete your application. Your confirmation will also be emailed to you via the address indicated on your order form.

If my application is rejected for some reason are the consular fees refundable?

- In most cases yes. Some embassies however do not refund consular fees under any circumstance. The US Passport Office also does not refund application fees. Please contact us if you would like more information as to which countries do not offer refunds.

If my application is rejected for some reason by an embassy are the service fees refundable?

- When applications and documents are received they are reviewed for any problems by our staff. If they are lacking information, requirements missing or if there are any concerns we will contact you immediately. Should your application be deemed in good order, submitted and then rejected for reasons out of our control a refund of the service fees will not be available. We have many years of experience working to ensure the application process is as smooth as possible. We cannot be held liable for unforeseen circumstances or situations beyond our control.

If I decide to cancel my application are the consular fees refundable?

- In most cases no. Embassies do not refund consular fees after applications have been submitted for processing. The US Passport Office also does not refund application fees for application cancellations.

If I decide to cancel my application are the service fees refundable?

- If your application has been submitted to the embassy or US Passport Office a customer service agent will make this determination. Please contact us.

What if I want to change my order in the middle of processing my application for a visa?

- Most embassies will require you to pay the difference between the processing fee you originally paid and the rush fee if you need to expedite your order. Service fees will also correspond to the type of processing selected. If you decide to slow the processing of your application you may not be able to without incurring the original fees paid. Please contact us if you would like more information concerning specific embassy policies.

What does the bar in the center of the page indicate? The bar indicates which step you are on in the online application process:

  • Visa Check: Lets you know if a visa is required for your purpose of visit.
